Merry Christmas 2011
|
|
Now that the first half of the season is over, with no training or matches until January, we can take stock of everything we have achieved so far in 2011. A successful transition to EP school; 3 new U7 teams up and running and developing quickly; having an U10s and an U14s team playing each Saturday and some good results and league positions across the club. Let's hope 2012 goes as well as 2011.
May I pass on Seasons Greetings to every player, parent, supporter, manager, coach and volunteer of Bracknell Cavaliers FC.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and that 2012 brings you health, wealth & happiness...... and some equally entertaining and enjoyable football!!
Have a great time and see you all in the New Year.
Ho Ho Ho !!!!

Referee Allocation
|
|
We have a new website section called Referee Allocation located under the Pitches header.
The intention is to put details of your referees (and wherever possible their contact details) for upcoming games on this page for all to see and to avoid confusion.
We hope that you find it useful.
In addition, you will also find under this section, the handout for Club Linesmen which provides lots of handy hints about what is required of them.

Chairman's Pre-season Message 2011-12
|
|
The new season for the Seniors team started last Saturday with a 1-0 victory - well done men, a good result from a team with a few new players still bedding in.
Our Junior & Youth teams start their campaigns this Saturday 10th September, with teams at home kicking off from 9am. Prior to kick off, at about 8.15am, we will be taking a large group photo of all the players that are there with our Club Sponsor - Rodger Duckworth. The photo will be used in a press article we will be submitting to promote our new home venue, Easthampstead Park school.
Whilst it was a little sad to move away from St Sebastians after so many good years playing there, our club has continued to grow and we needed a venue that could cater for all our home matches at one location - and we have achieved that with EP school providing 4 different size pitches for our use, as well as excellent 3G training facilities for us during the winter months.
The managers have all been working hard to ready the teams, that doesn't just mean training sessions, but includes administration, both club and League, to ensure your children play structured football. To them I would like to say a big thankyou as we begin another new season; your kind donation of voluntary time keeps around 250 players regularly learning and playing football.
Goalkeeper Training has again been booked with Bayzo & Andy and this starts on Sunday 18th September for 6 sessions; this is great for the goalies in our club who really benefit from all the additional coaching, but it requires commitment from parents and the players, so thanks to them for agreeing to be there and get as much out of it as possible.
To every manager, coach, player, parent and supporter of Bracknell Cavaliers FC - please have a great 2011-12 season. As ever, play your best; play fair; respect the match officials and most importantly, enjoy yourselves.
See you during the season.
Mike Clothier

Clothing Collection - May 2011
|
|
Dear Cavaliers' supporter, I would just like to say a big thank you to all those who sorted clothes, shoes, textiles etc and brought their bags to me for our fund raising collection with Bag2School. We collected over 40 bags and made £90 for the club, which is fantastic for a first collection. However, I think we could do better! I had a lot of people telling me that they had just sorted their clothes and taken them to the clothes bank. So I am now giving everyone plenty of warning before the next collection! We have another collection on 13th October. I will send out a reminder nearer the time, but please put this on your calendar so that when you have your end of summer clearout you can hang on to your bags of clothing and give them to me. Bags will be distributed to managers if you need them. Please do not bring any bags now to me in the meantime, as I am sure you can understand, storage can be a problem! I will be asking for them to be delivered, ideally, in the week before the collection date. Many thanks again to all those who contributed. Enjoy the summer, let's hope the sun keeps shining. Help raise Club funds...
|
|
Dear Club Supporter Having a spring clear out? Not sure what to do with all those unwanted/grown-out-of clothes? Then I may have the answer! I have arranged a collection with Bag2School which is a company who collects textiles from clubs/schools and pays us an amount per kg. This will help us to raise much-needed funds for your football club.
Collection bags will be distributed to the team managers who will hand them on to you. However if you don't get a bag, Bag2School will accept items in any bags as long as the items are clean, dry and in a reasonable condition. The collection will be from my house at on Thursday 19th May. I will need to have all bags with me before this date.
If you have any questions you can call me on either of the numbers below. Many thanks in advance for your help with this vital fundraising opportunity. Nicky Clothier Home: 01344 450228 Mobile: 07962085610
