Congratulations to the Bracknell Cavaliers U10 team who were triumphant in their Cup final match, beating Twyford Comets Diamonds 3-2 after an enthralling, action packed game.

Well done to the whole team!!

U15 Cup disappointment - Saturday 25th April

After a fiercely fought Cup final, Cavaliers were unlucky to be on the end of a 2-1 defeat against their close rivals Eldon Celtic.

The boys, with a couple of players out to injury, put up a brave attempt despite going down to a penalty in the first minute.

Unlucky lads.

Cavaliers 2009 Six-a-side Tournament a Great Success

We would like to thank all of those teams that helped make the Cavaliers six-a-side tournament a great success this April.

The quality of football continues to improve every year and was a joy to watch. It was also great to see such sporting behavior from the players and supporters alike to make the tournament enjoyable for everyone.

We were very lucky with the weather this year as the sun shone on all three days. (No snow this time!)

We have received many emails and phone calls from team Mangers who wanted to let us know how much they, their players and spectators enjoyed the tournament. We appreciate all these supportive comments as they add to the enjoyment of running the event.

Thanks must also go to all of the volunteers who helped set up, in the kitchen, in the car park and tidied up at the end.

We look forward to seeing your all again at the next Cavaliers tournament.

Coaching Qualification Success

Our congratulations go to Malcolm Maziere (U10s), Lee Maynard (U11s) and Mike Clothier (U12s) who all passed their FA Level 2 Coaching certificate on 01 March 2009.

These successes, combined with recent Level 1 passes, give Cavaliers the strongest, most accredited coaching team ever. This will be a good springboard for the club as we move towards Charter Development Club Status.

Well done lads.....keep up the good work and onwards to Level 3 !!!

Coaching Qualification Successes

Our congratulations go to Katy Steel (U9s) and Kelly Strong (U9 Girls) who both passed their Level 1 Coaching in February.

Well done girls... we look forward to you becoming more involved in the training of your teams in the future.

Our congrats also go to the following coaches who passed their Level 1 coaching certificates this season : Simon Bennett, Ian Fallows and Adam Smith.

Referee Qualification Success

Congratulations to Connor Vernon and Rob Dunbar who become the latest Cavaliers to qualify as referees.

Well done guys... we look forward to you taking control of more club games, whilst wearing your 'blacks'

Quiz Night - Thankyou

9 teams, 2 bar stewards, 1 quizmaster and 2 assistants.... the first Cavaliers quiz night was held last Saturday evening at St Sebs, with all participating to be crowned quiz champions 2009. This was a quiz with a difference with the emphasis on having "fun" with drinks to raise money for the club.

Our quizmaster Graham Hill served up a variety of rounds and questions which had people groaning and shaking their heads... the variety of answers to some of the teasers was unbelievable. I think we shall all remember the "Alice" music question for quite some time!

Breaking up the evening was a game of "Play Your Cards Right" where our first contestant, Nicky, failed to clear the top row with a pair of fours appearing... you get nothing for a pair, not in this game!!
With Wayne the next to have a go, the cards went in his favour and he managed to clear the board and win the cash prize.. well done Wayne.

After the final Dingbat round, the scores were totalled and our congratulations go to the winning team "The Piston Broke Again" consisting of Martin, Ann, Nick and Chris.... well done !!

Our thanks to all those that came along for the evening and joined in the fun because you have helped the club raise some much needed additional funds which will help the members of our club.

Our main thanks go to our quizmaster Graham and his wonderful assistants Janet (how do you put up with him?) and Michelle.... cheers, a cracking night!!

Can't wait for next year's event.
